Spot's FatDog Wiki ~ Plump and Proud - Home

Welcome to the FatDog Wiki!

Fatdog is an all 64bit version of Linux built from source packages and using Puppy Linux scripts and structure. Fatdog is quite 'fat' compaired to Puppy, the complete Xorg is included along with other extras that make it larger than Puppy. Other differences include Firefox, Xine-ui, Thunderbird, and Pidgen running as a non-priviliged user (spot), automatic Xorg configuration, default localization (see the setup wizards to make adjustments). You'll find CUPS in your browser's bookmarks if you want to add a printer.

Do not use Puppy pet packages in Fatdog, Puppy's 32bit packages won't work.

Using this wiki:

This little wiki is an outgrowth of the FatDAW64 website, which is about a multi-boot Digital Audio Workstation that runs on FatDog most of the time. The documentation that came with FatDog is the cornerstone of his little wiki effort. Nearly all of the copy came from file:///usr/share/doc/home.htm and file:///usr/share/doc/faqs/faq.html, files contained in the FatDog distribution itself. By moving to a wiki format it might be easier to keep the info from becoming too stale-dated to be helpful, and add more heads to the mix. Or more eyes on the prize, as it were, to help keep things more current.

Puppians were welcome to pick a sandbox page to practice in and say 'howdy'. All others, not so much. Spammerz are not welcome at all, due to them being the reason the pages are locked, changing this from a wiki to just another website.
